WINGATE -- Frank Morton Hodgson, 83, Wingate resident and retired farmer died at 2 a.m. Wednesday at Culver Hospital. He had been in poor health for some time and critically so for the last five weeks. Mr. Hodgson was a farmer near Homer, Ill. until his retirement due to poor health and his departure for Wingate in 1933. He held membership in the Presbyterian Church at Homer and was still a member at the time of his death. A son of Charles and Jane Hodgson, he was born on Oct. 14, 1883, in Homer, Ill. He was married on April 6, 1912, to Mary Alice Brown who survives. Surviving besides the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Faye Miller of Linnsburg and Mrs. Lavaughn Renick of Flora; a son, Scott of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Jacobs of St. Joseph, Ill.; five granddaughters; a grandson, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Rob R. James officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery near Wingate. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday.
